1967 - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
is released including Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
While living in Weybridge, Julian brought home the watercolor drawing
(pictured to the right) from Heath House Infants' School. Julian
recalls..., "I was trundled home from school and came walking
up with one of my watercolor paintings. It was just a bunch of stars
and this blonde girl I knew at school. And Dad said, 'What's this?'
I said, 'It's Lucy in the sky!'" This became the inspiration
for the Beatles tune Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Later,
another of Julian's drawings was used as the cover to the Beatles's
Christmas Time is Here Again album.
1999 - Julian and fiancée, Lucy Bayliss, attend
the opening of his mother and her childhood friend Phyllis McKenzie's
(shown in the picture to the right from Reuters...) art exhibit, jokingly
called "Lennon and McKenzie," at the KDK Gallery at 324
Portobello Road in London

1999 - The Express runs a headline Lennon
Looks Set to Give Marriage a Chance stating that Julian is poised
to tie the knot with stunning brunette, Lucy Bayliss, 21. They quote
Julian as saying: "To be honest, Lucy and I feel married already."

EMI studios. Good Night was written by John for Julian but
was sung only by Ringo accompanied by a 30 piece orchestra and choir
of 4 girls and 4 boys.

2000 - "Pop & Me" an independent documentary
about fathers and sons done by father and son duo Richard and Chris
Roe (shown to the right with Julian) begins showing in LA and NYC.
The two spent 6 months traveling around the world interviewing 29
sets of father and sons in 26 countries. While in Monaco in 1996,
they met up with Julian who discussed his lack of relationship with
John.
