"Good To Be Lonely" was regularly performed acoustically by Julian Lennon & Matt Backer during promotion of Photograph Smile at various radio stations and record store signings around the world. The song can be found on some of the Day After Day Singles and was released acoustically on several radio stations' sampler cds as well as on the Interview CD for Photograph Smile entitled "Lennon.. and proud of it - A Conversation with Julian Lennon"

Julian Lennon talked about the song during its introduction at the "Photograph Smile" European Release concert in Mainz, Germany. - "The reason why I wrote this was because the time that one seems to be able to find oneself and reflect and think about the mistakes in the past and where we are now and where we are going with our hopes and dreams, tends to be when you find yourself on your own and that's why I believe it's good to be lonely sometimes."
