JULIAN LENNON fans have been waiting eight years for him to tour the U.S. again, and now that moment has arrived. The singer, songwriter and musician will embark on a four-week headlining tour of the States starting July 15 in Chicago in support of his critically acclaimed PHOTOGRAPH SMILE (Fuel 2000) album.

Before his trek of the U.S. begins, JULIAN will perform the album's second single, "I Don't Wanna Know," on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. This appearance follows other recent television appearances including Late Show With David Letterman and The Tonight Show. JULIAN has also been the subject of his own "Behind The Music" special on VH1.

The good thing about any tour is that it gives the artist the opportunity to give their songs a new life, and that will surely be the case for JULIAN. The set list will be a collection of favorites from his four previous albums, which over the course of 15 years have sold over six million albums, as well as PHOTOGRAPH SMILE. His latest album has been hailed by many critics as his most personal and affecting to date.

As David Wild recently noted in a Rolling Stone review: "...the homespun, intimate-feeling PHOTOGRAPH SMILE sounds like the work of a man who has come to peace with ghosts of the past and gotten on with the business of writing some good new tunes." Elsewhere, Steve Mirkin noted in Entertainment Weekly: "SMILE is a heartfelt, expertly crafted collection. With this album, Lennon comes up from the rear in the rock-progeny credibility race... A-" And Elysa Gardner concluded in the Los Angeles Times: "Lennon has returned from a seven-year recording hiatus with an album that fulfills the promise of VALOTTE and reflects his increasing comfort with his irrevocable connection to pop history."
